1. Who we are

TranscriptBinder (the website at binder.hogisimlab.com and its browser extension) is operated by Hogisim Lab (호기심랩), Republic of Korea. Hogisim Lab is the controller for the limited personal data described below. Contact: contact@hogisimlab.com

2. Information we collect

There is no sign-up and no account. The website and extension do not ask for your name, email address or any other account information.

3. Transcripts and job history stay in your browser

The YouTube links you enter, the transcripts the extension reads, your job history and your language choice are stored only in your own browser (browser storage on this website and in the extension). We do not send them to or store them on our servers, and we cannot see them. You can delete them at any time with the [Delete] button on the dashboard, by clearing this site's data in your browser, or by removing the extension.

4. What the browser extension does

• It runs only after you press [Start] on the dashboard.
• It works only on youtube.com and this website. It does not read other sites, your browsing history or your cookies.
• It opens the requested video pages in a separate window, reads their public captions, and passes the text only to this website's dashboard in your browser.
• It does not download video or audio files.
• Inside the extension it keeps only the current job's progress and a daily usage count (number of videos).

5. Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web server, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site against attacks. We do not use this data to identify you or build profiles. Legal basis (EU/UK GDPR): our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f)). See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

6. Cookies, statistics and ads

The website itself does not set cookies today. We may add cookie-free visitor statistics. If we later show Google AdSense ads on the home page and guide articles, Google may use cookies; visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland will first see a consent message and can refuse. The dashboard (collection screen) shows no ads.

7. If you email us

If you write to contact@hogisimlab.com, we use your email address and message only to answer you and keep them only as long as needed for that. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your request (Art. 6(1)(f)). Email is forwarded to our mailbox through Cloudflare and Google.

8. Your rights

If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. Because your transcripts and history are kept only in your browser, you can view and delete them yourself at any time. For anything else, contact us at the address above.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
